The Moon Brings a New Sound to Compton on "Street Roses" ft. Jean Carter

Face it, Compton is an untapped gem when it comes to talent. From Dr. Dre, Kendrick Lamar and YG to Azjah and Roddy Ricch, the city is responsible for raising some of the best the culture has to offer. There's a new sound bubbling up from the underground though, with the city's newest talent The Moon leading the way.

Thoughtful, melodic, and vibey, her first official single "Street Roses" marks a solid entry in the game for the Compton native. When asked about the track, The Moon states, "from the flow of my vocals and the bounce of Jean Carter's verse, the collaboration felt natural.  Being a new R&B/Neo Soul female artist from Compton, I’m bringing a new sound to the city with my music." And we must agree. Tap in below and follow her journey @musicbymoon
