Dayne Carter Speaks on Being The Underdog in New Interview & Single

It's been a minute since we last featured New Jersey rep, Dayne Carter. But, that doesn't mean he hasn't been working. Since his last feature in 2018, Dayne has built a solid fanbase, had 2 songs placed in NBA 2k20 alongside Drake and 2 Chainz, plus most importantly, stayed true to self. Today Dayne Carter is back with his second single of the year, "Gassed Up".

Touching on the notion of constantly being labeled an underdog, Gassed Up's accompanying visual pokes fun at some of the obstacles commonly faced by independent artists. From being disrespected by the media, dodging bad record contracts, and overcoming the struggle of winning over a skeptical crowd, the video aligns perfectly with the message.

Check for it below, as well as Dayne's first Hype Off Life interview where he breaks down "Gassed Up", navigating the industry as an indie artist, and being the most slept on. Right now and only on Hype Off Life 👊🏾
