Sharmond Makes Grand Debut With Standout Single “Hold On Me”

A story of heartbreak and recovery, Sharmond is making his grand debut with his first single “Hold On Me” by opening up about the pain of separation and the unhealthy coping mechanisms that have plagued the path to moving on from a broken heart. An uptempo melancholy song detailing the aftermath of a broken relationship, the self pinned track is filled with hard 808’s and infectious lyrics that takes the listeners on a journey of self recovery filled with tears and alcohol.

Showcasing his vulnerability, Sharmond is breaking down what it means to be a Black male in this ever evolving world. Utilizing his openness in a way that sets him apart from any other artist, Sharmond is using this song to make a statement, saying that ”Men can cry and feel pain, just like women. It doesn’t make us any less of a man. For far too long we were told that crying makes us weak, but I hope anyone listening to this will see that it’s okay to feel pain, and it’s okay to cry.” A potential anthem for the broken hearted, 'Hold On Me" marks Sharmond's solid entry in the game.
