Eminem Launches New "Mom's Spaghetti" Concept Restaurant In Detroit
His palms are sweaty, knees weak, arms are heavy, There's vomit on his sweater already, mom's spaghetti...
Those are the famous opening lines for Eminem's 2002 classic, "Lose Yourself". A song that would become a part of his "8 Mile" film's soundtrack, and go on to be one of his most successful singles winning an Academy Award and Grammy in 2003 and 2004 respectively. Fast forward to 2021, Eminem has announced that he's opening a concept Restaurant named, "Mom's Spaghetti".
Located within the newly-opened Union Assembly restaurant at 2131 Woodward Avenue “in the alley between Union Assembly and The Fillmore", "Mom's Spaghetti" takes its inspiration from the 2002 hit, to give residents and fans alike, some of the best pasta dishes along with exclusive merch.
Originally a pop shop from 2017, Eminem and Paul Rosenberg decided to make it more permanent through a partnership with Union Joints Restaurant Group. It went on to cater to HCW during the pandemic, but found a home where it can become a staple for all walks of life. In addition to "Mom's Spaghetti" is another ode to 8 Mile called, "The Trailer", that houses Eminem memorabilia, "Mom's Spaghetti" merch, and items from the Eminem retail collection.
"Mom's Spaghetti" is expected to launch on September 29 at 5PM. For more information, visit momsspaghetti.com/ or call (313) 888-8388.
