YBN Cordae - "Old N*ggas" (J. Cole "1985" Response)

Ever since 'KOD' dropped last month, everybody's been talking about "1985," taking it as a J. Cole diss towards Lil' Pump, further widening the generation gap between "old heads" and the misunderstood new generation of rappers. And everybody agreed that that would be the end of that. (At least on Twitter) That's until YBN Cordae dropped "Old N*ggas" today. Now the internet is burning up in a debate over new rappers being trash, not showing respect to their elders and the opposing view of those same elders not showing respect or trying to understand the rappers that grew up loving their lyrics and idolizing them.As offensive as the title sounds, "Old N*ggas" touches on important points, like when we were young "old n*ggas" called our generation's music trash too and why should the new kids on the block look up to "old n*ggas" that are rapists, felons and Donald Trump supporters (cough cough). At first, you might be thinking "this sh*t is going to be booty wack." But let me tell you, YBN Cordae has bars. On top of bars. And it's not just a fluke. Check out his Eminem "My Name Is" remix too.As well as "Old N*ggas" above. Chime in below in the comments to let us know your feelings after your third listen. And if "Old N*ggas" has you all in your feelings, you just might be who YBN Cordae is talking about. Directed by: PPLCALLMEACEShot & Edited by: Simon David
