East Coast Rapper Richie Valentino Talks Inspiration Behind EP 'Multiple Personality'

Long Island's Richie Valentino released his first studio album called Multiple Personality, which showcases not only his versatile personas, but his ability to switch it up as an artist. Valentino delivers an aggressive rap style, combined with the ability to make a song flow. The project gives us plenty of tracks full of detail and depth, from the subtle adlibs to the direct references, Valentino makes his presence known on every track.

"I would like to think I’m two artists in one. That’s why I called my first project Multiple Personality. I rap and I sing," Valentino said of his project. "I’d describe my rap voice as powerful with a lot of vibrato. My singing voice is calm and soulful. If you didn’t know me or you weren’t a fan of me, you would say that I sound like two completely different people. On my track 'Blow My High,' for example, I rap the verses and sing the hooks."

All of the tracks were written by Valentino himself, and produced in his studio Studio Square Recordings based in Astoria, Queens. As a result of Covid-19, Valentino has transformed his studio space into a virtual Instagram show called “Studio Square Live,” where he collaborates with other artists and DJs to deliver a nightly performance.
