Singapore's Jax Urban Explores “Lust” On Upcoming Single
Singapore-based recording artist Jax Urban looks to take his career to places it has never been. The 19-year-old made his debut as an artist in March 2020, he has since been receiving a favorable buzz worldwide. Looking to capitalize off that, he looks to follow up with the release of his upcoming single, “Lust”.
Featuring Trap production and R&B influenced delivery, Jax Urban juggles with his feelings for a young lady, and his demons that seem to step in the way of his progress. With lyrics suggesting that he needs her by his side, and contemplating if it’s lust or love, Jax shares emotions on the track that many can relate to. His melodic delivery helps to ease in listeners into his situation. Jax Urban looks to stand out from the new breed of artists. While his Asian communities focus more on the Pop side of things, Jax wants to focus more on blending Hip Hop, Emo Rap, Rock, Trap, and R&B to make his own unique sound.
With influences from Post Malone, the late Juice WRLD, and Eminem, Jax Urban used music as an escape to his troubled upbringing. Inspired by how Hip Hop helped his situations, he chose to get into music to do the same for others. He soon found success with his debut single, “Won’t Run”. Since its release in March, it has amassed over 100,000 streams on Spotify, with endorsements from YouTuber Tommy Craze, and adult film star Leah Gotti, who was name dropped in the track.
Jax Urban looks forward to the feedback of “Lust” when it’s released on August 7, 2020 on all digital streaming platforms. For updates on his music and more, he invites you to follow him on Instagram at @Jax.Urban.
