How did you get your name, “Peace Galaxy”?

I'm really fascinated by outerspace and everything about it. I'm also all about good (peace)  vibes and high vibrations. And my  sound is futuristic.  So the name really fits me...

When did you know music was your gift?

I knew music was my gift when I picked up the guitar (I'm self taught) and it came so naturally to me. I actually wrote my first song after only have been playing for 3 months.  I happened to be in the studio one day and I started playing a random guitar there.  When I told my friends I had only been playing for 3 months, they were shocked and ran outta the room and couldn't believe it.  That's when I knew I had a gift that I had to take seriously.

You play several instruments. What are they, and which is your favorite?

I play guitar, bass, and the keyboard (a bit)  Guitar is my favorite by far...

I already know your music collection is crazy. What are your Top 3 albums of all time, and why?

My collection is all over the place. Lol for real.  It's so many favs... My top 3 albums are 1.) Innvervisions (Stevie Wonder) 2.) Mis-Education of Lauryn Hill and 3.) Purple Rain (Prince) Reason: they are 3 master pieces in their own unique ways Innervisions for the musicality, Mis-Education for the lyrics and message, and Purple Rain for the trendsetting sound and fearlessness as far as the creative approach.

Your work ranges from Trap to K Pop. How do you keep such an open mind when it comes to new sounds?

It's easy for me to keep an open mind in general, especially when it comes to music.  I love new sounds, genres and I like to hear what next and create.  I like to cross genres and it help keep my sound authentic.

What challenges have you faced as a Black woman in the industry?

Sometimes, they like to keep you in a box.  Like we are only supposed to produce certain genres.  That's the challenge that stands out the most to me, not letting anyone box me or my sound in to limit me to only certain genres.

How have you been able to overcome them?

I overcome the challenges by perfecting my craft and making my sound and style undeniable.  My goal is to just deliver great records and not be distracted by the challenges.

What role has networking and keeping a positive attitude played in your success?

OMG networking and a positive are actually two master keys to my success.

Why do you feel it’s important to remain unapologetically you?

Life's too short to be anyone other that yourself unapologetically, and you can't water yourself down for anyone.  The right ones will be inspired by your truth.
