Myna Shares Straight From The Heart On "I Don't Wanna Be Here"

Ann Arbor, Michigan's Myna is making moves to becoming one of the more talked about indie artists this year. Having gained plenty buzz since the release of her debut EP, "ROY G BIV", her profile has been growing, and the fans count has been increasing as well. When she shares music, she shares from a place that experiences various emotions that we can all relate to. Following up her debut, she gives us the "I Don't Wanna Be Here" project.

Consisting of 14 tracks and released on July 15 through 1st Mynd Music/Bahn Records, Myna goes deep as she reflects on some of her experiences in the past 3 years. Described as her personal gospel, she shares songs about dealing with the ups and downs of love, handling tragedy, seeing the light at the end of the tunnel in various situations, and shares her growth from those experiences. Overall a project that many will relate to, and vibe to completely. With production from Jeez, Oscar, Uglyboi, Sir Soul, Larkin, NATETHETEK, Heizenburr, DyeLow and others, Myna played with various sounds throughout and ensured that they do a proper job of capturing the listener's attention. In Myna's world, she wants you to tune into her heart, mind, and soul, and experience life with her.

From a place where Mayer Hawthorne and Vulfpeck got their start, Myna had what it takes to shine. With comparisons to SZA, Khelani and Jhene Aiko, she carves her own path, and has seen her gain respect from various members of the music industry. She is a recipient for the Inaugural 2019 Motown Musician Accelerator program, she has performed at the Ann Arbor Art Fair, the Ann Arbor Summer Festival, The Ark, and The Blind Pig among others. Never not working, she is currently promoting "I Don't Wanna Be Here", and is making plans to release even more music this year.
