Tune In To Junii's "Don't Stand Too Close Vol. 1"

Detroit-based recording artist Junii believes that being creative and original are gifts everyone should have. A member of the Hip Hop Soul sister/brother duo Better In Black, the group made noise with a couple EPs, but disbanded in 2019. Taking the solo route, Junii found her career taking off thanks to various singles, her collaboration with NY production unit Str8Bangaz called "The Uma Thurman EP", and a collaboration with TDE artist Reason on the "Flick It Up (Remix)". Recently, she followed up with her much anticipated official debut, the "Don't Stand Too Close Vol. 1" EP.

Featuring 8 tracks, Junii boasts an ability to not only sing your ear off, but rap like some of the hometown heroes, and Hip Hop legends. Sharing some of her life experiences including love and friendships, Junii gives us the ups and downs in a way that we can't help but relate to. She also shows off her production prowess here as well with the EP's blend of old school R&B and Neo-Soul vibes paired with Hip Hop influences. While many female artists focus on keeping up with what's trending in the music scene, Junii holds her own, and distances herself from the crowd.

Junii has a long way to go, but the road ahead is promising. Having shared the stage with many including opening up for Rapsody on her Detroit stop of her "A Black Woman Created This" tour, Junii has what it takes to excel. With more music in store and resurrecting her Better in Black group with collaborator Nappi Devi, her voice will be as loud as ever for a long time.
