James Worthy Follows Success of 'Kaleidoscopes’ EP with "Do You Know"

R&B

Still riding high on the wave of his January release, 'Kaleidoscopes' EP, James Worthy is back with a brand new single, “Do You Know”. Produced by Iso Jozey, the song gives a short story of a man confessing his love for his significant other, trying to get them to understand the meaning of it over 808 drums.

The soulful single follows in the footstep of 'Kaleidoscopes', offering more grown 'n sexy vibes from Worthy. Best described as a 22-minute mood, the EP which was executive produced by K-R.O.K of PM DAWN serves as a follow-up from James' 2019 debut EP 'Blu Leisure'. This new body of work serves extra potent vibes, along with features from RnB OGs like Ray Lavender, Ruff Endz and Truth Hurts, plus a verse from Drag-On (remember him?).

Aside from working with producers Styalistic, Shay Mizz and Frisktrackz on the project, James recorded most of 'Kaleidoscopes' in his studio in Atlanta, GA with Styalistic on engineering. Composed of 7 tracks that James "spent months crafting, recreating, and analyzing" to bring out the best product, 'Kaleidoscopes' has gone on to do numbers, with several tracks landing in James' Top 10 on Spotify.

Each song gives different musical textures within the RnB genre, but with heavy melodic influences, and arrangements with songs like “This Wave” or more soulful like “Show Me”. While each song varies in tone, they all are originals and circle back to one universal theme. “Kaleidoscopes is an urban soul-filled, catchy collection of reminders that love, harmony, diversity, and unity can co-exist in our modern world,” says Worthy. The body of work is packed with layers of gauzy synth textures, and sweet hooks with a glossy finish on production, and of course James Worthy’s smooth vocals
