EMPIRE Brought Out The Stars for BET Weekend Brunch

Every year around this time, Los Angeles comes alive for BET Weekend—the weekend, where our excellence is celebrated and summer officially begins. Saturday, June 29th, powerhouse independent label, EMPIRE hosted one of the livest BET weekend brunches the city’s ever seen. And guess what? Hype Off Life was in the building!

Hosted by Founder/CEO Ghazi and held at The Academy (which goes up every summer thanks to LA Function #iykyk), the private event brought out some of the industry’s brightest stars.

Stars like…

• DJ Quik

• Jason Martin (fka Problem)

• Inayah

• DJ Hed

• RJmrLA

• Vedo

• OG Parker

• !llmind

• Big Boi

• Elliott Wilson

… just to name a few.

When walking in guests were greeted with 2 vibes to choose from - day party vibes outdoors or nightclub aesthetics in the indoor part of the venue.

But, you didn’t have to choose. So, if you were like us, you switched between the two - grabbing food and drinks at the food trucks or a stiff drink inside where the dancers were.

Inside was also where Money Man was awarded a Platinum plaque for his Epidemic album and Chow Lee performed his hit single “ms.beautiful V”. Plus, León Y Sol Tequila came through with a curated cocktail menu, as the new premium brand on the block.
