Creative Visual Director Chief Will on His Journey In Working In The Music Industry

Meet Los Angeles creative director and visual arts entrepreneur Chief Will. The talented director, who's real name is Wilson Anyanwu, has a skill for his craft and has built an impressive resume chock full of big names like Blueface, French Montana, Rich the Kid, Famous Dex, and Rubi Rose, among many others. He grew up in the Crenshaw District of South Los Angeles, CA and that has largely influenced his work.

Early on, he found joy in playing basketball, but soon found another passion: directing and photography, where he has had much success working with a plethora of entertainers and celebrities. In a recent interview, Will talks about the importance of family, especially his father, who helped guide him during his youth. Will thanks him for being there, noting "having my father in my life kept me away from the wrong crowd."

Chief Will has found much success working in the visual arts field and notes his upbringing and structure as a factor in why he wanted to pursue becoming a director.

"I wanted to work for myself [...] be able to make my own decisions and take my life into my own hands," he said.

This move to becoming an independent visual artist has become very fruitful for him, as he has booked several high-end clients and campaigns, as Will's keen and fresh style of shooting radiates in every frame and image.

Will has collaborated with high-profile Hip Hop figures, such as Mustard, Nipsey Hussle, Kalan.FrFr, and many other social media influencers and socialites. His dedication to his craft is evident in his work. With as much buzz and work he has done the past year, we can't wait to see what he does next.
