Yaadcore & Reggae Legend Richie Spice Testify The Medicinal Qualities of Cannabis on “Nyquill (Spliff a Light Spliff)”

Jamaican music don Yaadcore and reggae legend Richie Spice come together for a solid addition to any smoke session playlist, “Nyquill (Spliff a Light Spliff)”. The track comes at a perfect time, as Yaadcore — continuing his transformation from influential DJ to game-changing artist — announces his debut album, Reggae Land, dropping at the beginning of 2022.

A remix of Yaadcore’s 2020 release, “Nyquill,” the track takes on added dimension with the addition of Richie Spice, known for iconic reggae tracks like “Youth Dem Cold” and cannabis classic “Marijuana Pon De Corner.” When Yaadcore and Spice talk of “Nyquill,” they’re not referring to cold medicine, but testifying to the medicinal qualities of the herb, which they celebrate in defiant and triumphant fashion over an irie riddim from Micah Shemiah

The track’s official video, directed by Fernando Hevia (Koffee, Sean Paul) takes viewers inside Yaadcore’s smoke-filled world. While windblown ganja fields have been a staple of reggae videos for years, the visuals set down in a state-of-the-art, indoor growhouse, heralding a new era in which Jamaica is reclaiming its rightful place as the world’s marijuana mecca.

Following the track’s release is a limited-edition “Nyquill (Spliff A Light Spliff)” merchandise drop with iconic California skate/streetwear brand, Diamond Supply Co, and a limited-edition rolling tray with cannabis lifestyle company Blazy Susan, both featuring cover art from “Nyquill (Spliff A Light Spliff).”

So, sit down, light a spliff and enjoy the day.
