Steve Spiffler Drops 'Skitzo Steven' & "209 legend" for Mental Health Awareness Month
We know, we know. Mental Health Awareness was last month, but in our eyes it should be top of mind every month. In it's honor, Steve Spiffler dropped a new album, 'Skitzo Steven,' in case you didn't know! And we must say it's one of the best, most cohesive projects we've heard in a while from the underground.Only 2 of the songs were made in 2018, with everything else dating back to 2012 - 2016, which proves Steve knows how to make timeless sh*t, one of good music's main characteristics. You know, the type you can go back to years later and still say: "This sh*t bangs!"We're not only feeling the samples, like Cherrelle's "Saturday Love" and Monifah "Touch It," but the overall funky production and Steve's transparency behind the mic. With toke friendly vibes and trunk rattlers, courtesy of production from The Heisman, Birthday and Rhys (just to name a few), plus the 209 legend, Steve Spiffler himself, 'Skitzo Steven' is the jam you'll want to to ride out to all summer long. Check for the full stream below, in addition to the "209 legend" music video and some samples thrown in for cultural reference.
