EXCLUSIVE: Sev7en Taylor Drops New Music & Insight in Q&A Session

Hype Homie Sev7en Taylor slides through today for a Hype new interview before dropping off not 1, but 2 fire freestyles. Catch up with the multi-hyphenate artists below to get updates on his highly-anticipated EP, ’The Disobedience Of Jimmie Taylor, as well as insight into the new tracks and major moves he's been making. Now and only on Hype Off Life 😉

Where ya been and what’s been good since we last spoke?

I've been super busy. Just pushing my pen. Preparing for this EP and making major business moves. Which I'm happy to say I'll be performing LIVE at Soule's GALA 2019 this year. I can't wait to hit up NYC and give them an amazing show. I have other things in the works. Once I'm able to talk about it I will. I'm very happy and excited. Life is rewarding when we least expect it. Enjoy the connection. Everything connects.

So, you just dropped 2 fire new freestyles. What is the main idea and inspiration behind each one?

It's the year of Sev7en. I'm gonna give the girls HELL this year. It's in all fun tho, rapping is a sport and I love to be in a crazy - deep zone with my music. I'm just gonna POP UP all year and give the girls HORROR.

Why did you decide to drop 2 songs at the same time, instead of saving one for later?

Jimmie told me to do it. He said two is better than one and I was like okay.

Aside from yourself, who else would you say is reppin’ the hardest in Hip Hop right now?

There's so many to name but I will say queer HIP HOP narratives are on the rise and shout out to everyone doing their thing.

Any updates on your forthcoming EP, ’The Disobedience Of Jimmie Taylor’?

Might have a summer or fall release date. Expect visuals plus more.

From ever since we 1st spoke up until now, you stay raising the bar. Where else do you want to see this year take you?

I'm eyeing everything. I'm taking my brand to the next level. I'm constantly pushing my creative narrative. God has me and you'll see me up there with the greats. I have a blueprint to leave for the next boys in line.

Lastly, who do you do it for?

For every color queer boy looking for a space in rap. We exist and we rapping better than most of these current dudes. I'm living out my dreams Mama.
