Sev7en Taylor: "Fem Top." + Bonus Interview

Hype homie, Sev7en Taylor is back to bless us with another exclusive drop and interview. Catch up with the talented author, artist and all around dope person to see what's been good since the release of his debut album, 'Boys Just Wanna Have Fun,' plus what exciting new things he has in store for fans in the latter half of the year. And oh yeah, peep the new track at the end. There's more where that came from. *Hint hint.

It’s been a minute since we last heard from Sev7en Taylor. Where ya been?

I’ve been grinding very hard. Lots of announcements to make very soon. I like to put out new sounds here and there which is why I dropped “ Fem Top” out of nowhere. I’m currently preparing the production/ recording process for my upcoming two new projects. Which I’ll talk about at a later date. My new novel  "Let That Black Man Cry” releases in the fourth quarter of this year. Pre-order links will be available very soon! Can’t wait for everyone to read it. Back to “Fem Top.” I had a personal experience of someone objectifying me by what they assumed my sexual position was. My feminine ways being something that the LGBTQ community is still having a hard time to digest — far as not OPENLY loving feminine men without it being a trend or personal desires from you. We need more spaces to exist in as feminine men— there’s too many spaces where we are attacked for our natural nature. That’s how this new freestyle came about.

Aside from ‘Boys Just Wanna Have Fun,’ who’s getting the most play in your iTunes these days?

Sza, Teyana Taylor (new album) , Nicki recent features... mixtapes and whatever grabs my attention at the moment lol. I love Daniel Caesar and I’m actually listening to a lot of unsigned artists like myself. I enjoy that music the most. It’s real. It’s authentic.

Every artist has a tribe that they represent and give a voice to. Who is your’s and where are you leading them?

The freedom tribe. Freedom is powerful. To be free from unhealthy love, spaces, people and cultures is important. I’ve learned mental health is important in creating— I’ve survived a lot these past months from facing homelessness to now finally have an apartment and so on as the blessings continues. I’m just grateful and very much thankful. I want people to take from me love, peace and being their OWN BOSS. I’m not a role model. I fall short at times. Sometimes I fall apart but I always pull myself together. Write as much as you can about how you feel; even when you have others to talk to. Talk to self and see what self wants next. That’s the new journey I’m on.

4th quarter is around the corner. How do you plan on finishing the year strong?

I can’t say anything yet but let’s just say creative and GAGGGGING the girls. That’s all I can share for now.

Anything else we should know?

Thank you for allowing me to come on your platform and share my truth, art and self. Thank you to everyone supporting me. Thank you to God most importantly. I’m forever grateful. Appreciate self as much as you can. Two new musical projects coming + MORE. Also know visuals coming before we end this era. Thank you again my loves! GO STREAM “Fem Top” and get Cunt for me!
