What are Amazonia Live’s biggest challenges?
The biggest challenge demonstrates that when we talk about the forest with our public who generally lives in a large urban areas, we want to draw attention to the importance of planetary balance as an ecosystem so we can maintain our quality of life in the big urban centers, so we can keep doing what we like to do. But to do a floating show in the middle of the Rio Negro in the Amazon for the launch of Amazonia Live was also a big challenge. LOL
What type of experience will fans get at Rock In Rio - either live or livestreamed?
The city of Rio is a small city of 100,000 inhabitants. It’s a place where the language is music, where there is no prejudice, no fights, no one needs self-defense and everything works. What we want for this experience is energize every single person who passes through the City of Rio and the millions of people who follow the experience through streaming networks feel inspired, energized and confident that a more harmonious society and a better world in our daily lives is possible if each of us take the responsibility for our choices.
How did Amazonia Live’s partnership with LiveXLive come about?
It is a great opportunity for us to be able to share this party and the conversations that take place along Rock in Rio with millions of people not only in Brazil, but around the world. Being with LivexLive enhances all the conversations we propose through the realization of Rock in Rio, because instead of talking to only 700, we can talk to millions all over the world.
Can you give us more details on the partnership?
Through LiveXLive’s platform, LiveCause will disseminate fundraising opportunities and awareness campaigns for any charity into any livestreamed performance. It’s a great opportunity for Rock in Rio to enhance Amazonia Live’s purpose to people around the world.
How else can people get involved to help save the Amazon - one of Earth’s greatest resources?
There is a very curious fact that says that forests can recover on their own, we do not need to do anything for them. What we need is to stop disturbing and destroying and this will only be possible when each of us in our daily lives through our choices and habits of consumption and life causes major changes in the market.
Anything else we should know before you go?
I hope LiveCause can be a permanent awareness-raising channel for people around the world.
