Rihanna Returns With New Single In 6 Years For "Wakanda Forever" Soundtrack!
Rihanna IS BACK! After a hiatus that included running her Fenty brand, becoming a national hero in Barbados, and motherhood, Rihanna is setting things off for the soundtrack of “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” with her first single in 6 years called, “Lift Me Up”!
Produced by Ludwig Goransson, Rihanna blesses our ears with sweet sounds as we await the new movie come November. The song is also a tribute to the late Chadwick Boseman, who played the original Black Panther character. With the chorus of,
“Lift me up
Hold me down
Keep me close
Safe and sound”
It’s safe to say we’ll be playing this track long after the movie’s premiere.
It was rumored for a while that Rihanna would be featured on BP:WF’s soundtrack, so it’s good to see it come to life now. “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” stars a diverse cast including Angela Bassett, Daniel Kaluuya, and Letitia Wright.
As we await more from Rihanna, do remember she will be running things come 2023 at Super Bowl LVII’s halftime show!
