Ricky Wolfe Steps Out With The "Cacti" Video

STL-based artist/producer Ricky Wolfe is one person that looks to make a major shift in music. With a talent that can be described as multidimensional, Ricky is versatile when he needs to be, and is able to connect with the old and the young through his various releases. On "Cacti", he tackles a couple issues, and today he follows up with the video.

Directed by Y. Samuel, the video finds Ricky Wolfe speaking directly to his audience. Ricky deals with a few personal issues on the track including his insecurities, self doubt, and anxiety, and rather than block them out with a lot of slick lyrics, he deals with them head on. He shares a few of his experiences like sleeping on studio floors and fighting demons, but he also shows that he has the strength to keep moving forward and avoid the obstacles.

When the music gets very personal, it tends to connect with the right people as most of us go through a thing or few. With the music being his therapy, Ricky Wolfe lets it all out for us to hear. "[For the video] I wanted to mirror the dark soundscape with the visuals, but have glimpses of color as a symbol that the journey can be beautiful even when everything else seems dark." shared Ricky about the creative process behind the visual.

The title of the track was also inspired by Travis Scott's new energy drink, Cacti, which Ricky was drinking while putting together this track. Be on the look out for more from Ricky Wolfe!
