Rashad Is Staying True to Self and It’s Paying Off

Lately, there has been an undercurrent of artists bringing in a new wave of creativity to shore. Marked by originality, authenticity, and great music created with no regard to the algorithm, these artists are quietly setting the tone of a new sound. One standing firm on the fundamentals of good music, created from a pure place that speaks straight to your soul. Hip Hop artist Rashad embodies this mentality, and more. He isn’t just focused on making it to the big leagues, but maxing out his full potential and making his mark as a legend.

Proudly coming from Carson, CA, Rashad has 3 singles picked up by MojoHeadz Records (Sick Dance), a Southern California-based label that recently linked with Sony Music. His 1st single, “Cali’s Own” was picked up last April and quickly caught attention before he dropped “Summer Flow” in September. “Well Off”, his 3rd single was released at the top of 2026, with the same raw energy and determination found on previous drops.

Now, Rashad is back with another new single, “Hard Knock” which puts his love of Hip Hop and Rock on full display. Produced by platinum producer Bigboytraks, the record is a spin on a timeless classic, from Orphan Annie to Jay-Z and now Rashad. Coming with a confident flow, “Hard Knock” finds Rashad recounting his come up, going from chasing dreams to living them out loud. Boldly stating “I am who I say I am”, while backing it up with facts like a true emcee, Hard Knock’s production complements Rashad’s dynamic lyricism, without overshadowing his words. The single also touches on his connection with MojoHeadz Records, inspiring others to follow their dreams, as he is proof of the reward hard work gets you.

Since his debut, Rashad has made clear that originality matched with determination, drive, and professionalism is the only way he’s interested making it happen. Always staying true to self, he trusts in Hip Hop and its power to bring people together in meaningful ways. Aside from goals of standing out and paving his own lane, he’s committed to honing his craft, respecting the profession, and sweating the details. With a short-term goal of reaching an ambitious sell quota with MojoHeadz Records, while maintaining the integrity of Hip Hop, Rashad believes that as long as he perseveres the sky will always be the limit.
