Posa on Recent Success & New Mixtape with Rubberband OG

Karvin Jones, known by his stage name “Posa,” was born and raised in Mobile, Alabama. He is the youngest of four children and grew up in a very musically-inclined household. His town environment, however, was a hub for drug-related activities and violence, which had a major impact on his life. In order to escape the harsh realities surrounding him, Posa began to devote all of his time towards honing-in on his greatest passion – music.

Since then, the sky's been the limit for Posa, as he has built a solid fanbase and millions of collective streams. Last year, he dropped his debut EP, 'BOLO', which included buzzworthy singles "Big Dawg" featuring Moneybagg Yo and "Dropping Jewels." 'BOLO' is rapidly approaching 1 million streams across platforms, and Spotify showed love by including "Trap Love" on their coveted Realest Down South playlist, as well as bangers like "Last Day" and "Big Dawg" on their Off The Strength playlist.

Most recently Posa released a joint mixtape, 2 Sides of Da Bottom with fellow Alabama native, Rubberband OG. Tune in to our exclusive interview with Posa below to gain insight on the project, as well as how he got his start in music and his definition of success. Right now, and only on Hype Off Life 👊🏾
