Ogechi: 'HipHoppa Schola' (EP Review)

'HipHoppa Schola' touches down as Atlanta and HYPE homie, Ogechi's most solid project to date. Coming in hard with an intro reminiscent of Lauryn Hill's seminal 'The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill,' the 5 track EP proceeds to touch on today's social ills, knowledge of self and other street knowledge hip-hop has continued to stand for. Match that with Ogechi's full and varied flows, filled with so much passion and bravado and you'll begin to see why Ogechi goes harder than most of these rap dudes. All I'm sayin' is you should check it out, as 'HipHoppa Schola' has high replay value (currently on my 5th rotation), plus elements based on Hip-Hop's foundational roots. Bonus points if you know what a Hip Hoppa is in the first place. We don't just listen. We live it. We breathe it! Not critique it...
