Meet Norman: The 1st Rapper to Rap in 3 Languages

Hailing from New York, 20-year-old rapper Norman had a pretty frantic life waiting for him. After he was born, his family quickly made the move to Florence, Italy, where he grew up between there and Switzerland. Due to a disease resembling muscular dystrophy, Norman suffered severe scoliosis and had to have multiple spine surgeries, leading him to give up on his dream of becoming a footballer for AC Milan.

Although Norman had varied interests as a child, he found his passion for writing raps and singing when he moved to Geneva, Switzerland to pursue his college degree. It was there Norman began writing songs in Italian, passing onto french and English, just for fun. Realizing that no one in the rap was mixing more than 2 different languages in a single song, Norman knew he was on to something big.

Space” and “Temps” marked Norman’s unique debut in the game. Sung in 3 different languages, each song has its own vibe. “Space” describes his struggle to undershot was love is, as he navigates through a toxic relationship. While “Temps” keeps it upbeat, as Norman blocks out the distractions and expresses his motivation to live every day like it was his last.

Amassing over 300,000 Spotify plays and 20k+ monthly listeners in less than a year, it’s safe to say Norman is doing just that, living life to the fullest and shaping the future of the international Hip Hop scene. His recently released, first fully English song, "No Soul" where he describes his fear of betrayal in an honest and straightforward way is well on its way towards doing numbers, like so many of his previous records. So, be sure to keep Norman on your radar and follow up @normantherealone
