Nico.wav Writes His Own History On Debut Album ‘I’ll Explain Later.’

Nico.wav was barely a teenager when he first came to terms with the economic and social injustices of America. Growing up in the predominantly African-American community of Prince George's County, MD, he was forced to make a decision- either succumb to the hopelessness around him, or use his talents to rise above it and inspire future generations. Fortunately, he chose the latter.

Nico dedicated himself to music, becoming a fixture in his hometown scene and also spending extensive time in the hip hop capital of Brooklyn. All the while, he was sharpening his skills and preparing to make his mark. The result is I’ll Explain Later a clear eyed, motivational blueprint for how music can bring hope to the hopeless.

Opening track "Flowers" is a perfect introduction to Nico’s mindset. “I think it’s lame when you bitch about some shit you can change,” he raps. He’s a natural hustler, uninterested in the status quo. The jazz infused "Law Of Rhythm" gives him space to explore his own psyche, as well as his will to continue pursuing the life of an artist against all odds.

The album is broken up by the poignant elegy "Remembering Nip", before light- ening the mood with the mesmerizing "Smoker Friendly". Every track is packed with memorable lyrics and mantras, right down to the emotional closer ‘Pepe Le Pew.’

In his own words, Nico.wav is all about improvement. With ‘I’ll Explain Later,’ he shows that incredible things are possible with the right amount of commitment and hard work. This is lyrical hip hop at its best, full of meaning and inspiration that is sure to appeal to hip hop aficionados everywhere.
