Mozzy Releases 'Gangland Landlord' & Pays It Forward as Host of Provide For Your People
Last week was an undoubtedly good week for Sacramento-based rapper Mozzy. Not only did he release the album the streets have been checking for, 'Gangland Landlord,' but he also showed love to the community that helped raised him by hosting the Provide For Your People giveback event. The event, which was sponsored by EMPIRE in partnership with the non-profit Project Optimism Inc. and held at Fourth Avenue Park found Mozzy connecting with people from his community, providing school supplies and just plain ol' having a good time. In addition to repaving the basketball court, Mozzy gifted 400 members of the community with haircut vouchers, shoes, gift certificates and more. According to Mozzy, “Giving back to the community that helped raise me is mandatory. It’s only natural for me to use my platform to provide opportunities and resources to those that need and deserve it.” His new 18-track album is equally dope and committed to giving back to the culture in the form of loyalty-oriented lyricism and game. Serving as the sequel to 2015's 'Gangland Landscape,' the album includes well-received singles like “Walk Up," “Choke On Me" and “Thugz Mansion,” featuring Ty Dolla $ign and YG. In addition to well-placed features from Too $hort, Yo Gotti, DeJ Loaf, ScHoolboy Q and Iamsu!, just to name a few. Peep the stream below, as well as a few flicks from Provide For Your People and the "Thugz Mansion" music video, which has clocked in over 5 million views since it's September 13th release.
