Mobbin101 Continues To Put On For The Bay
English writer William Penn understood the desire of time when he wrote, “Time is what we want most, but what we use worst." West coast artist/entrepreneur Mobbin101 understands the importance of time, and makes sure it’s properly utilized whether he’s at the studio, making music connections with with likes of Roc Nation’s Rel Carter, or grabbing lunch with some of the biggest names like DJ Khaled.
Author Johnathan P-Wright of StupidDope magazine stated that Mobbin101’s artistry is comprised of a captivating sound with unrivaled raw emotion, and he possesses a work ethic that has gained him a loyal following from his hometown of East Palo Alto, California, to Toronto, Canada. He has also received important co-signs from artist/radio host/entrepreneur Don P. of All Bay Music, and radio host/artist manager Gary Archer who have both expressed that the Bay Area is well represented by Mobbin101, and he helps to set the standard in self-made, serial entrepreneurship.
Mobbin101’s stage presence is not one to sleep on as he impressed the likes of DJ Self, DJ Druski, DJ N.O., and DJ Melod from Power 105 at the New New York Music Festival. DJ Druski, who got a chance to chop it up with Mobbin101 after his performance, shared that he appreciated his artistry as it stood out from what he was hearing out there, and was excited that a West Coast artist represented well on the big stage.
Mobbin101’s increasing presence caught the attention of Bay Area-based Influence Talent Management. The minority owned/woman-run management, development and marketing consulting company saw a golden opportunity with him, quickly placing him on their roster of clientele which included producer Rick Rock, recording artists Too $hort, Nef the Pharaoh, Dame from CMG, Mistah F.A.B., Baby Gas, Symba, LaRussel, and many other Bay Area names.
The partnership proved to be a fruitful one, and with their guidance, helped him to secure his first crossover record, Pieces of Me. For the new record, Mobbin101 took his talents to Canada to secure a feature from songwriter/producer Mailboxx from Windsor, Ontario, who is no stranger to working with Bay Area artists. Influence Talent has been an advocate for Mobbin101’s thriving career, and are pleased to witness his progress and growth. Influence Talent will continue to support his musical development moving forward.
Mobbin101 lives by the “In Mob We Trust” mantra, and is working hard to ensure it is more than a hashtag, and deeper than a tagline. His work ethic will not slow down anytime soon, so the world can stay tuned for more developments.
