Mez Celebrates “The Loading EP” with Release Party At Soho Warehouse
Mez might be a new artist to you, but his time in Hip Hop has been nothing short of legendary. If you were among the millions that streamed Dr. Dre’s critically acclaimed Compton album, you are already familiar with Mez’s work, as he wrote 14 of its 16 tracks. Aside from being a dope writer, Mez is also an innovative film director, having directed J. Cole’s 8x platinum single, “Middle Child”, as well as music videos for Sir and Ari Lennox, plus commercials for Nike and Jordan Brand, among others. Nice stats indeed.
Now the GRAMMY-nominated recording artist, songwriter, music producer, and film director is ready to step into a spotlight of his own with the release of his Mass Appeal debut, The Loading EP. Featuring Leon Bridges, Isaiah Rashad, MAVI, SAINt JHN, and Childish Major, Mez celebrated its arrival with an exclusive EP release party at Soho Warehouse in Los Angeles. And you already know Hype Off Life was in the building, catching all the vibes and good atmosphere.
During the party, Mez announced that not only was it a special day because he was finally dropping the project, but it also happened to be his birthday. (Happy birthday, Mez!) He also gave attendees first dibs on his new music video for “Hot Spot”, featuring Isaiah Rashad, along with tidbits about his journey from Raleigh, North Carolina to moving to LA and making it big in the industry.
When asked about The Loading EP, Mez stated:
Definitely food for thought. Dig in below.
