Maxo Kream - "Roaches" (Video)

"Back when the face tatts was for OG killas"

Maxo Kream flexes his storytelling skills in a true life story, "Roaches." Autobiographical in nature, the track tells the story of his upbringing, how even though your pockets might be right you still need God in your life. It's matching visual plays like a movie, with flowing videography in vivid detail.Using moments in time as a way to mark the years, "Roaches" makes you remember where you were during the times Maxo Kream mentions. Way back when Platinum FuBu and Iceberg were popping, we got our downloads from LimeWire and Saturday morning WWE was a thing. In the second half of the video, it looks like things finally turn around for him. He's now partying in Vegas and getting dome at every show. But then here comes Hurricane Harvey, 12 years down to the day after Katrina's destruction.Harvey hits Maxo Kream's family bad, with his Mom calling saying she doesn't have any food or power and is "fighting for her life." His Dad is also in a bad situation, having had a stroke the past year and is "off his meds." The airport cancelling all incoming flights and "Red Cross actin' like some hoes" add to the stress. But thankfully God's got his back and Maxo's people make it out alright. Which all goes to show, stay prayed up no matter how bad or good things are going."Roaches" can be found on Maxo Kream's debut album 'Punken,' which goes equally as hard. Check out "Roaches" above, then press play on 'Punken' below for a double dose of real.
