Marquel: "Bills"

Marquel introduces a new sound, influenced by Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Lil' Wayne and other OG's in the game on "Bills." The track serves as the first single off the soundtrack to The System -- a film written and directed by Iroc Daniels that exposes layers of corruption and racial tension within the political, judicial and prison systems."Bills" is a song that embodies Marquel's flow, that many are comparing to Kendrick Lamar. People are calling it, music with a soul. According to the eclectic artist, "no matter what type of rapper you want to be, just pay homage. Don’t disrespect the legends.” Which is something we all can feel and which is probably why his music resonates with many music connoisseurs. And for these reasons and more, Marquel is proving he's somebody you want to keep on your radar. 💯  Interesting Fact: The soundtrack is a father-son collab between Marquel and his Dad, Iroc Daniels.
