Kendrick Lamar is Back with Another Genius-Level Visual, “The Heart Pt 5”
Today, on Mother’s Day 2022, Kendrick Lamar blesses the culture with yet another poignant and visually stunning release, “The Heart Pt 5”. Directed by Kendrick Lamar and Dave Free, the video is nothing short of crazy! (In a good way). Starting off showing Kendrick in front of a red backdrop, with noticeably longer hair, in a white tee and black banana tied around his neck, “The Heart Pt 5” gets into Kendrick’s view on life - “It’s all about perspective”.
What you would think would be just the Compton native’s brand of enlightening lyricism, turns into another midn f*ck of a music video, as his face morphs into the faces of OJ Simpson, Ye (Kanye West), Will Smith, Jussie Smollett, Kobe Bryant, and finally Nipsey Hussle before you start to put together the pieces and see he’s really telling stories from the culture. Rewind it a couple times to see what’s really going on. Nothing short of pure brilliance!
