After Numerous Setbacks John Lindahl is Ready to Shine
Born in Silver Spring, Maryland and raised in Southern California, 23-year-old Pop-star on the rise, John Lindahl’s resume is as impressive as his talent and tenacity to weather storms. Growing up in a musical household, where his mother introduced him to many of the greats like Michael Jackson and the classic musical “Singin’ In The Rain”, it’s safe to say John didn’t try to be an artist; the art found him.
Being lead to musical theater when he was 5, John always held the music close. By the time he hit his teens, John decided to level up and audition for The X Factor, where he met L.A. Reid and subsequently signed to Epic Record. Things were looking up, but issues arose with every record planned for his release, leading to John being shelved.
Although he had significant wins under his belt, like performing with Ed Sheeran at the Grammy’s at just 18 and working with Justin Timberlake, the powers that be just weren’t yet ready for him. A studio session with engineer/producer Bobby Campbell proved to be serendipitous, as Campbell introduced John to Logic. A friendship was immediately forged, and John Lindahl was signed to Logic’s indie label, BobbyBoy Records. In 2019, Logic announced his joint venture with Def Jam through his imprint, with John being revealed as one of the flagship artists.
John’s first single “All Day,” arrived with a music video showcasing choreographed dance moves to the tune of a smooth Hi Hop inspired pop track that shows various elements of his personality as he’s wooing ladies and exuding newfound confidence. His debut album, ‘Opening Night’ is an extension of that. While it will delve deeper into his journey, it’s his single “All Day” that serves as the introduction to an artist who has weathered storms so early on in his career, and his now ready to celebrate his labor of love. It’s a long time coming.
