Jeezy & Gucci Mane Squared Off In Historic "Verzuz" Battle

What seemed impossible given their history, ATL legends Gucci Mane and Jeezy battled it out last night in the season 2 opener of the "Verzuz" series. Presented by Swizz Beatz and Timbaland, fans came out in droves to witness a historic night.

Held inside the famous Magic City Gentlemen's Club in Atlanta with DJ Teflon and DJ Ace mixing classics, the "Snowman" and "Guwop" delivered 20 of their classic selections. While it was off to a late start, the viewership went over 1.1 million strong before the artists took their seats. For those unfamiliar, Gucci and Jeezy's history of beef was more than diss tracks, they kept it street.

To see them in the same room for a Verzuz battle is something that we couldn't imagine in the year 2020, or ever. With Gucci kicking things off aggressively with the "Gucci Mane vs Jeezy" diss track followed by Jeezy's infamous "Trap Or Die Intro", it has been a back and forth of Trap classics, disses, jeers, and mainstream hits from the two that we thoroughly enjoyed.

What was your reaction to Gucci dropping "The Truth" and the other Jeezy diss songs? The tension in the room in the early rounds must've been thicker than the baddest Stripper. Honestly, we thought it was gonna go all the way left with over 1.7 million people watching. Overall, we heard hits, saw two ATL giants go at it, and set another record for Verzuz. And how about closing it with "So Icy" though?! LEGENDARY!
