Hype Off Life: Re-loaded
Can’t stop or knock the hustle
As Hype Off Life completes its first decade, I can’t help but to think of everything we’ve accomplished. The events. The interviews. The super solid people we’ve met along the way. And oh, how could I forget, the premium print editions!
I love the fact that we’ve been an integral part of the career success of many artists over the years. From our cover stars, like AZ Chike and Kenyon Dixon to interviewees such as Toosii, Wallie The Sensei, and Lola Brooke. And let’s not forget the OGs we’ve had the honor of covering like DJ Jazzy Jeff, Yo-Yo, Mike Jones, The Alchemist, etc.
2027 will mark our 10th year in business. As a Magna Cum Laude Business degree holder, I know that one of the best ways to go out of business is to be close-minded and slow to adapt to change. AI disruptions and changing media consumption have posed several challenges for us over the years. But its nothing to an blueprint. So, we took some time off to re-evaluate, re-assess, re-brand, and come back to the game with a fresh mentality.
We’re still committed to the power of Hip Hop and preserving culture through the written and oral word. So yes, there will be more premium music journalism and print issues. And no, gossip still doesn’t have a place here. Because we’re all about positive progression and keeping Hip Hop’s foundation and legacy of truth, innovation, and authenticity alive.
Add HypeOffLife.com to your favorites and visit weekly. Because we’re one of, if not the last independent Hip Hop magazine around that’s still in it for the love, not the money or clout. We can’t be brought!
