MEET THE MOORE FAMILY

Owners of MooreGames, Family Toy Company, have launched a Hip Hop board game called HeadRush: Hip-Hop Edition, the first board game in Hip Hop culture like Guess Who. While stuck in the house due to the pandemic in 2020, Antwon along with his wife Kimberly and daughter, Ariyanna came up with an idea for a board game that Hip Hop fans will love.

What is HEADRUSH, Hip-Hop Edition?

HEADRUSH is the first and only Hip Hop culture Guess Who game. We incorporated old school games such as Guess Who and Headbandz and flipped it with culture.

Hip Hop spans for decades and our family created a game that brings generations together. Introducing new school Hip Hop artists and possibly, re-introduce artists from the past. This is a fast pace easy to play guessing game for true Hip Hop heads.

How did you build a consumer culture around HEADRUSH?

Opposed to placing the game in major retail stores, we're first marketing HEADRUSH by building a crowd, keeping people interested in our family's journey. With plans to launch our story and  game we created on the crowd funding page, FundBlackFounders.

How did the idea of HEADRUSH come about?

There's definitely several different ways on how this game came about. Partly because our daughter, since a small child,  has always loved games. So much so, in high school, she decided to major in Animation and Games design, studying the mechanics and history behind it. While in the class Ariyanna was very much aware she was the only Black girl in her major which was something that affected her deeply but instead of letting it affect her she pushed even harder.

So, during the pandemic our family constantly played board games and we started thinking about how we could incorporate the culture into our own games and how it could be cool to engage Hip Hop fans.

What does the future look like for HEADRUSH HIP-HOP Edition?

HEADRUSH is not only a game of Hip Hop culture. We have plans to expand HEADRUSH to other popular genres.

What were the influences that made this happen?

It's the love of the culture, family, Hip Hop, R&B, and indie. Our family overall are just music lovers. We are a family of creators and we just put our minds together and created a game that brings family together.
