In past projects, you've highlighted your growth in life from hustler to music entrepreneur. What story are you telling with your newest project LS3? What was the inspiration behind it?

I feel like every project is better than the last, so it was about coming up with a theme that translates through the music.

How does your fashion style influence your music, or does it at all?

I get dressed to go to the studio. I get dressed like I’m about to go to the club just to go and make some music. So, I feel like if you look good, you’re going to feel good and perform well.

It's no secret that you worked with Curren$y as part of Jet Life. Can you tell us how you two first connected?

Being on the road, just being around him in the city and in the same studios. We just started politicking and doing music together. We also have the same manager so we were always around each other.

What is the best advice you've received from working with Curren$y?

“Do whatever you want to do. If it makes sense to you and it fails, at least you did it because you wanted to do it.”

Hailing from Louisiana and you've worked with artists like Lil Wayne and, of course, Curren$y, what kind of impact did that have on you as an artist, and do you think it's important to work with on-the-rise artists?

Working with Wayne and Curren$y boosts your stock. I’m a JetLife artist, so I work with Curren$y all the time, and working with Wayne was definitely a highlight of my career. I work with a lot of artists on the rise and I feel like it’s refreshing because there’s no complexes and they’re going to give their all in the studio.

What is Jet Life? What feelings do you want listeners to have when they think of Jet Life?

JetLife is a lifestyle. Outside of the studio and outside of the music it’s about just about enjoying whatever you do, whether you’re a father, painter, landscaper, work on cars, built houses, videographer or producer; if you’re doing something you truly enjoy - that’s Jet Life.

What is your favorite song off “LS3”?

My favorite song is “Candy And Gold” - it’s just a feel-good record with a great storyline. I love doing those kinds of records. The hook is so catchy and I’m harmonizing a bit on there which I don’t normally do, so that’s probably my favorite one.

What kind of impact do you want this album to have on listeners?

I want them to just understand my growth and appreciate the music.
