Devon The Chief Enlists Nef The Pharaoh For His Summer Smash “Lil Baby”
Devon The Chief’s “Lil Baby” is the club hit you’ve been fiending for since COVID-19 dampened everyone’s partying plans. The song’s airy piano melody, bass heavy percussion and light-hearted lyrics make for a carefree track that anyone can vibe to.
The track also has a guest verse from underground West Coast hip-hop legend Nef The Pharaoh who is best known for his tracks “Big Tymin” and “Bling Blaow”. Nef’s verse packs a punch while matching the song's fun nature.
“Lil Baby” serves as Devon The Chief’s first track of the year and comes after the success of his 2020 project Mood Swings, an eight track effort that gives the listener an introduction to Devon’s life.
“This project takes you through the phases of heartbreak & events that happened throughout my life. You get all types of “moods” from me on this tape,” he explained.
