Descendent - 'A Voice for the Voiceless' (Album)

For as long as we've known him, Descendent has been on of those rare emcees dedicated to returning Hip Hop to it's essence and keeping the culture in it's purest form. Which is why we were hella Hype to see what the the New York, NY resident would come with on his new album, 'A Voice for the Voiceless.' Good news: It's fire! The 11 track project features previously released singles "Bmore" and "Hardcore," as well as standout tracks "Blessed" and "Not Good Enough." The latter speaks on how women of all shades and sizes are beautiful, no matter how many times society says they are not. Descendent's high-level lyricism, complemented by lush production from Soul Phresh, Agent Midi and Unorthadaks create a 42 minute vibe, uplifting and encouraging. For those still thinking today's Hip Hop is dead, it's not. You just have to dig a little deeper. Or just hit HypeOffLife.com on the daily! Vibe out to 'A Voice for the Voiceless,' available now on all streaming platforms, as well as below for your listening pleasure.
