Bronx-Born DaySavv Found His Voice While Navigating Life’s Lessons
Bronx-based Hip Hop and R&B artist, DaySavv is a rising creative with his sight set on global success, while remaining grounded in truth and authenticity. Born Damion James, he was given the nickname, “Day” by his elementary school classmates. He would later add “Saav” to represent awareness, style, and growth. Growing up in the Bronx taught DaySavv how to move and who to trust, on top of giving him the focus needed to reach his dreams.
While he was still known as just “Day”, he had no intentions of becoming a musician. But, he always knew he wanted to be someone who made waves. So, it was a pleasant surprise when music became his preferred creative outlet and way to process emotions, while relating to others filter-free.
He credits early influences like 50 Cent, Drake, The Game, and Popcaan, in addition to life in the Bronx for shaping his sound into what it is today. DaySavv’s music centers around survival, reflection, and evolution with a touch of rawness that can’t be replicated. He credits his father, plus his internal motivation for the drive that keeps him locked into his vision, while locked out of distractions.
Since discovering his love for music and perfecting his gifts over time, DaySavv has steadily gained traction, plus the attention of fans and industry insiders alike. He most notably performed in front of DJ Drewski and had his song played on viral YouTube star, IShowSpeed’s livestream. DaySavv plans on keeping the momentum going in 2026 with his latest EP, Mr. Fck Love: The Love Whisper, which meshes his vulnerability with hard-earned street smarts.
In the midst of building a successful career, DaySavv still remembers to take time out for his other passions, like driving and football. Not only for the joy they bring, but their ability to keep him grounded and give him space from the pressure of success.
That’s not to say DaySavv is slacking off or taking it easy now that he’s on the bubble. Some of Daysavv’s 2026 goals include expanding his fanbase, as well as maintaining momentum through consistent releases and show performances. Because for him it’s deeper than music. It’s life.
