DaeShawn Forrest Gets Into Letting Go On "Walk Away"

Bay Area recording artist DaeShawn Forrest is a man who has experienced a lot in his life, and uses music as a way to share his thoughts and feelings, and tell stories. His level of transparency in his music has gained him quite the following, and it helps people to be more open with their feelings. With a collection of singles and projects out, DaeShawn is well on his way to becoming one of the names that will be everywhere. For his latest single "Walk Away", he taps deep into his emotions.

DaeShawn Forrest tackles production on the single "Walk Away", and recruits his aunt Raechelle T. Forrest who delivers great vocals throughout. "Walk Away" is a continuation of a story of him parting ways from a relationship. First spoken about on his previously released single "A Moment's Time" which also featured Raechelle T. Forrest, DaeShawn gets raw and emotional about moving from a relationship just days before his wedding day, and the heartbreak experienced. Despite him baring his heart on the track, he lets listeners know that the move was necessary to do, and it will get better for him, and anyone who may be going through similar situations.

Accompanying the "Walk Away" single, is a music video co-directed by DaeShawn and Brandon Orozco. The video features DaeShawn and a man who have both experienced separation from their significant others, and while they go through the motions, they eventually find ways to move on for the better. "Walk Away" is a track on DaeShawn's upcoming "Transparent 2" album, which is expected to be released in summer 2022.
