BurnaMaleik Tells Intimate Story With 'U EVOL I' Album
St. Louis native BurnaMaleik tells a deep and passionate story of love, trust, and betrayal with his new project 'U EVOL I' -- out now on all platforms.
"Without spoiling the story, I'll say it starts bright and ends dark with an unexpected turn," he says of the project.
The project has many themes to it, as well as lyrical content and dope beats that match the vibe of the project throughout. To describe this project as creative would be an understatement. BurnaMaleik has his real, full talents on display and is definitely setting the tone for what audiences can expect from him. With standout tracks such as "Focus" and "Trust Nobody," Maleik is in his bag and he has storytelling down to a science.
"I basically want people to look at me and my music and see that you can create music with meaning over beats often used for fun," Maleik says. "That there can be a message in every record and they shouldn't feel the need to take away substance to make hit records. I want them to know you can make hit records with substance."
From his work with such artists as T-Wayne and fellow collaborator Cashier Fresh, it is evident that Burna can adapt from a slow melody to a fast, hard-hitting beat.
Burna's debut EP, U EVOL I, just released. U EVOL I is a conceptual and visual album about love and the dichotomy of light and dark. The project is about love and what Burna wanted most was for the EP's visual to bring the story of his project to life.
