Bryce Hase on 'Wonderland469' and Working with Asian Doll

Texas has been an epicenter for a lot of musical talent over the years. From Kirk Franklin to Beyonce to Bun B, legends were definitely born there. 17-year-old recording artist Bryce Hase is next up to bat from the “Longhorn State”. Repping Dallas, he has been attracting a lot of attention on streaming platforms and has been the interest of many high-profile artists.

Armed with a melodic trap style, and a knack for writing catchy lyrics and well-structured songs, he can be found on tracks with Asian Doll (“Past Life”) and Wifisfuneral (“Off The Planet” which has since hit nearly 1 million streams) and looks to create dope music with many more big names.

With his debut EP, 'Wonderland469' solidifying his position as the next artist to blow up, the Dirty Hit Records signee promises to be your next favorite artist. Joining a label whose roster includes The 1975 and The Japanese House, Bryce Hase looks to be another household name repping the Indie label. We recently had a chat with Bryce to talk about his come up, his musical influences, 'Wonderland469', and more.

For those unfamiliar, tell us a little more about your journey.

I’ve always loved music since a young age, I’ve been writing songs since as long as I could remember, but it wasn’t till about 3 years ago until I got into fully making songs and actually recording them and then about two years ago I started to actually drop on SoundCloud myself. I started to gather some listens and some fans slowly but shortly after I started dropping and that was all me until I linked up with the team I’m with now.

Who are your biggest musical influences?

The Weeknd and Frank Ocean were my biggest inspiration to make music to begin with

You just dropped your debut EP, ‘Wonderland469’. What’s the meaning behind it’s title?

469 is one of the Dallas area codes so it’s just to kind of represent where I’m from and the wonderland just kinda talking about how just things going on in life didn’t seem real at that time being

How did you and Asian Doll connect for it’s new single, “Past Life”?

I met Asian Doll cause we had happened to be at the same studio in LA one night

Your work has attracted the attention of many other high-profile artists. Who are you most excited to collab with next?

There’s really not one main artist I wanna work with. I’m always open to working with any dope artists

Speaking of attention, how does it feel to see your music resonating with so many people

Sometimes it still feels weird but when I see tracks of mine do really well and stream good. It always is super cool to know people fuck with the music I create

If you could only accomplish only one goal this year, what would it be?

I just wanna continue to make good music and keep bettering myself as an artist and the rest will come
