AYO, The Producer Behind "WAP" Details His Come Up & Creating the Hit Single

Today, we catch up with AYO, the GRAMMY award-winning producer responsible for Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion's #1 Hit single “WAP”. As part of the duo Ayo n Keyz, he’s worked with a steady list of A-listers, including Lil Wayne, Ty Dolla $ign, J Balvin, and many others. Their fourth GRAMMY nomination turned into a win in 2019, when Cardi B’s ‘Invasion Of Privacy’ took the award for Best Rap Album, thanks to their production on fan-favorite “Bickenhead.”

Aside from earning plenty of accolades to his name, AYO is one chill guy with a very humble spirit, which is probably why he’s been able to reach the heights he has. So, it was only right to catch up to learn more of his story.
