If you’re an old head like me, you know R&B prodigy, Sammie best through his 2000 hit, “I Like It.” But, if you’re also like me, you find it hard to keep up with what’s new, with new projects and singles dropping every 2 hours on a weekday. Which may have had you clueless that Sammie has been made a comeback and even hit iTunes Top 5 last year with his ‘I’m Him’ EP.

Which is why we recently caught up with him in West Hollywood to chop it up about making the transition from child star to man crush, getting in on the publishing side of the game and what’s currently popping in his playlist.

During the interview and bomb lunch at Taste, we also learned Sammie is about to go on tour with R&B legend, Tank and has a new independent album dropping September 15th, ‘Coming of Age.’ So, catch the full interview above and his new Bryan “K-City” Elmore – produced single “Too Long,” plus “The Savage Tour” dates below to see what he’s been up too!
